Paper 59 — The Marine-Life Era

The five-era frame gains the two eras the original omits (Archean, Proterozoic restored at full length) and its totals are corrected: Paleozoic 287 million years (original 250 — close), Mesozoic 186 million years (original 100 — the ledger's hardest compression), Cenozoic 66 million years (original 50). Every Paleozoic placement shifts ~140 million years older: Cambrian 538.8–485.4 (its duration was nearly exact — kept with credit), first fish ~518,000,000 (not 250), first land animals ~375–395 million years ago (not ~220), the Carboniferous at 358.9–298.9 (not 200–180).
